WordPress Themes

WEBphysiology can help implement a stock theme or work with you to develop a one-of-a-kind custom themed site. Stock themes can often be more cost effective provided you can find one you like. Unless restricted, which is not typical, adjustments also can be made to “off-the-shelf” themes, free or purchased, to get it just the way you want.

Free Theme Resources

Free WordPress themes are just that, Free. As such, the phrase “Buyer Beware” comes to mind. A free theme may be a great way to start to learn WordPress, which would include the default themes that come with WordPress. Browsing free themes, or commercial themes, also is a great way to get ideas around what can be done and help one put together a concept of what they want their WordPress powered site to look like. The following are some sources of free themes, the first being the WordPress Theme depository, which is probably the better place to get a free theme you are planning to use. One note, like free plugins, the support of a free theme can be spotty, including the author dropping out, leaving you with an unsupported theme.

Professional Theme Resources

Professionally designed WordPress themes are those with a price attached. Most are reasonable. The benefit? Support. Also, you are dealing with an organization who specializes in developing WordPress themes, is likely to be around longer than free theme authors and it is their business to know the in’s-and-out’s of WordPress theme development.
